I have always been captivated by Trade beads. On one of my earliest trips to Italy as a young girl, I vividly recall falling in love with Mille Fiore beads. The vibrant swirls of colors and patterns sparked my imagination. As I matured and traveled to distant locations, it became clear that I was consistently searching for unique and coveted pieces. Beads have always carried rich histories, tracing back to the dawn of human trade. Trade beads have served as a medium of barter and were among the earliest forms of trade, with some experts suggesting that bead trading may have contributed to the development of human language.
Since then, I've gathered trade beads from Africa, India, and Italy. This week, a collection of trade beads is arriving from California. They are exquisite, and I will be creating some special custom orders. Additionally, a small collection will be available for purchase, with each necklace being completely unique and one of a kind. Stay tuned for this special capsule; it will be truly distinctive.
As always if you have any questions or would like to place a custom order please email me us at hello@inthefieldstudios.com would love to hear from you.
All my best,
